General information

The camp is located in the NCA (Ngorongoro Conservation Area Area), on the hedge of the Olduvai gorge. The Ngorongoro Crater is only 25 km away from the camp.

Unlike national parks, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area does not exclude human life. Indeed, this vast expanse of over 8 500 km², man and wildlife have been living here in harmony for hundreds of years.

Allowed to remain on their ancestral land, the Maasai perpetuate their traditional nomadic pastor way of life.

The region offers many interesting places :

  • The wildlife specific to this area (including the great migration)
  • The Olduvai site and museum
  • The Maasaï villages, protected from occidental influence
  • The geological curiosities such as nearby volcanoes, Nassera Rocks, Shifting Sands or the Olduvai Gorge.
